About Me

Born and raised by a pack of wild geese, Crank It Up never knew a home, migrating as the weather changed with his gaggle.   Learning to fly at two years old then finding a more suitable means of human transportation, the bicycle.  At five years old, he ventured outward  into the world on his own.

Eventually finding it hard to get by only speaking goosinese he learned english and settled down in Louisville, KY.  He soon found that the stamina built by flying in a flock and the strategies learned by his time spent migrating he found himself winning the Tour de France at age 6 and setting world records, including the world land speed record eight years in a row.

Now, in his mid twenties, he is venturing out of the world of working for other people and starting his own bike shop, Falls City Cyclery, as well as pursuing ventures in bike photography.

About Falls City Cyclery

Falls City Cyclery is my bike repair business that I run out of my house for the moment.  Our house is zoned M-1 which means we’re completely legal on the zoning and business front.  Yay for being legit.

In February I’m going to be opening a retail location in Old Louisville or Germantown, still undecided.  We will be carrying zines, books, tshirts, stickers, buttons, posters, and patches from Microcosm Publishing and hopefully be picking up a few different publishing houses along the way.  We have a tshirt design done by local artist Patrick Jilbert and a house design for sale soon.

We specialize in older bikes but will work on newer bikes as needed.  We will be selling fixed up older steel and aluminum bikes in the $100-$500 range (depending on components and age) and do repairs on a sliding scale (must prove income level).
